While testing the wind direction sensor (Hall sensor) it became apparent that one of the two voltages (sin/cosine pair) was not being output when the vane turns. Ideally this would just require replacing the chip in the center of this circuit. However, the chip is no longer made, but it’s still possible to buy the PC board as a complete assembly. So, we ordered a new PCB today and we’ll put everything back together when the part arrives.
