Anchored off Snow Island for the afternoon and overnight. So happy to be in Maine! We have comfortable temperatures and clear skies today. Our friends on Aoife will join us in a few hours in this anchorage and we'll have them aboard for dinner.

This ship is passing through the same bridge that we passed through yesterday, but with the bridge raised (obviously)!

Portsmouth

We're moored on our friends mooring in the Piscataqua River. You can just see us in the upper right in this image from their security camera. So grateful for the hospitality!

Portsmouth, NH

The first bridge into Portsmouth is only 21 feet high at high tide. Our antennas reach 22 feet, so we had to fold them down to avoid having to wait for a bridge opening. With our antennas down, we only need 16 feet.

Refrigeration Install

The new refrigerators are installed and running! Now it's time to clean up my mess.

Fridge Installation

We got the old units off, and the new ones onboard today. It was quite a task, since they are heavy (120lbs) and bulky. We had to bring them through the windshield hatch due to their size!

The first fridge is installed and wired up, starting to chill down. Tomorrow, I'll work on the second unit.

Refrigeration

We just received our new refrigeration units. Tomorrow is installation day!

Sunset on the West River tonight. Our engines ran well today, so we are content.

The Problem

This was the source of our water pump problem. The cam is badly warn, with some breakage of the teeth, which allowed sharp edges to be in contact with the impeller. Very bad. New cam is installed and I'll test the engine again shortly.
