We had this cove to ourselves today for swimming and snorkeling. Just around the corner was a cave to explore at low tide.

We walked through the ruins of an old resort, abandoned years ago.

The Beach Bar

We rode bikes to The Beach Bar and Restaurant today for lunch and some time on the beach, of course. This place fits the description of Paradise, so we had a cheeseburger.

We had perfect weather for our crossing today. No wind and flat seas.

Clearing Customs

Once we cleared customs, we lowered the yellow quarantine flag and hoisted the Bahamas courtesy flag. We're now free to move about the country.

Bimini!

We just arrived in Bimini and cleared customs. We had a great run today across the Gulfstream with nearly flat water.

Running the Keys

We left Key West this morning, made a fuel stop in Marathon, and we are now on our way to Key Largo. We're anchored behind Rodriguez Key for the night. Tomorrow we'll cross the Gulfstream and arrive in Bimini to begin our trip through the Bahamas.

Weather Windows

It looks like we have a good weather window on Tuesday for our crossing to the Bahamas. That blue area indicates light winds in the area where we intend to cross between Key Largo and Bimini. We're excited for the next phase of this adventure!

The Blue Angels are in the house! They just flew by our marina on the way to land at the air base here.

It's the end of another beautiful day. Our time here is winding down as we contemplate our next adventure: crossing to the Bahamas. We think there will be a weather window next week. Stay tuned.
