Solstice Raftup!
This year we had Orlando Phillips aboard, cranking out the reggae for the annual Solstice Raftup. The weather was cool and windy, which made for a wet ride down to the West River. The boat handled the conditions well, but at times it felt like we were on a submarine because of the spray coming over the side from a beam sea. It was a good test for the wipers!
The music was great and it was good to hang out with friends.

New Anchor
Today we replaced our anchor with a Rocna 25 (55 lbs.). The old anchor was a little undersized at 45 lbs. and the Rocna has better characteristics for setting and resetting. We had an experience recently where we dragged about 100 feet, so we're hoping not to repeat that with this new anchor!

Morning
We spent a peaceful evening on a friend's mooring in Weems Creek. After a warm afternoon, it was cool overnight, and the light breeze picked up this morning to about 12 knots.

Dinghy Chocks
We successfully installed some new Hurley dinghy chocks today. The install was pretty easy, just 4 bolts and it's ready to go. Next step will be to fit the dinghy and make sure everything fits. There might be some interference with the swim ladder…
