Beach
Taking a walk on the beach today… we saw a sailboat close reaching it's way south, making fast progress. Suzan tried to save a jellyfish by pushing it back into the surf, but it kept getting washed back to shore.

I spent some time watching this guy fishing today. There is a pond on the golf course near us, where the birds are active.

It’s Electric!
Today's project: test out our electric outboard with a new battery. The batteries that came with the boat were shot, so we are hoping this fixes the problem… stay tuned.

Wind Instrument
I spent today doing some boat work. The wind instrument is not working, so I've spent several hours checking connections, cleaning contacts, and checking for continuity with an ohm meter. In the end I found a broken pin in the connection on the masthead. Now I'm trying to figure out how to extract the broken pin…

Another Sunset
It's raining today, but the last couple of days have been beautiful. We've turned the corner on boat work and we actually had time for a walk on the beach yesterday. Even so, there are plenty of projects: there's a small leak in one of the hatch seals and I'm troubleshooting the wind instrument.

Today's forecast: 72 degrees and sunny! We've had some chilly, cloudy days, so this is a welcome change.

Chaos
It's not all cocktails and sunsets… this is a sample of the disarray remaining after two days of cleaning and organizing. And, of course, we had some issues to fix: the shower pump didn't work the first time we jumped in for a shower and the fuel transfer pump wasn't moving fuel as expected. So, I already have some "bilge time" on my resume.
